The objectives of the Division are:
-
To promote and contribute to the science, understanding and practice of Software Systems and Engineering;

To recognise and to advance the status of the natural persons engaged in Software Systems and Engineering;

To disseminate knowledge of the science and practice of Software Systems and Engineering;
-
To initiate, conduct, supervise, and assist in research and investigations into the science and practice of quality management, quality assurance and business excellence in Software Systems and Engineering;
-
To advise AOQ regarding the impact of relevant regulations on Software Systems and Engineering; and assist AOQ as required with representing these interests to the wider community;
-
To assist AOQ in the fostering of mutually beneficial relationships with relevant quality assurance and quality management organisations.

Conference
TheSSE Division will conduct an annual seminar/conference, of which SSED2008 is the first.
Theme 2008: TBA
Conference Date: September 12th, 2008. The seminar will run all day. The draft programme layout calls for plenary sessions for most of the day with some concurrent workshops for a few hours in the afternoon.
